Vegan Gluten-Free Waffles

 

My mom and I both love eating waffles. She was my inspiration to create a healthier alternative without using ingredients we were sensitive to. These came out to be super delicious with the perfect texture that is hard to come by using alternative flours. Enjoy these sensational Vegan Gluten-Free Waffles without any guilt!!!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of Garbanzo Bean Flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup of almond milk
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tbl and 2 tsp of grapeseed oil
  • 2 Tbl raw sugar
  • 1 capful of vanilla
  • Grapeseed Oil Cooking Spray

Directions:

1. Preheat Waffle Iron to 350 degrees
2. Mix wet ingredients in a bowl: Almond milk, Vinegar, Grapeseed Oil, Vanilla Extract, Sugar
3. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl: Garbanzo Bean Flour, Baking Soda
4. Combine all ingredients
5. Spray grapeseed oil cooking spray on waffle iron.
6. Pour batter into waffle iron.
7. Cook for 12-13 minutes. Do not open cover until then otherwise they will not hold their integrity.
8. Top with your favorite fruits and/or maple syrup

Makes 4 waffles

Do not recommend making substitions for grapeseed oil and cooking spray. Recipe seems to do well with grapeseed oil.
